FAQs
What time does the event start?
Check-in opens at 8:45am, and the event begins at 9:00am in the Sanctuary.
Where should I park?
Please park in the back of the building and enter through Door 6 for check-in.
Do I need construction experience?
No. Whether you’ve built houses before or have never picked up a hammer, we’ll provide instructions and place you on a team.
What should I wear?
Wear comfortable clothes and closed-toe shoes. Since portions of the event will take place outdoors, dress for the weather and don’t wear anything you wouldn’t want to get dirty.
Is food provided?
Yes. Breakfast and lunch will be provided for all participants.
Can I bring my son or another young man?
Absolutely. Males ages 8 and up are welcome to serve on the Build Team alongside a parent, guardian, or mentor.
How long will the event last?
The event concludes once the house frame is completed. Most participants should plan to be with us through the early afternoon.
Do I need to bring tools or other supplies?
No. All tools are provided. Feel free to bring your own work gloves.
